Ebay BBB hits $9900 ... Reserve is metNext stop $14,000 plusMaybe we could go for $20,000Let's see this game owner really make out big timeGene sells it for $4500, games fetch 4-5 times thatIt's amazing that it is so cool for a BBB remake to rake in the bucks, but Good Lord forbid you try and rake in the money off a Christopher Hutchins WMS remakecan you say hypocrisy?double standards? What is the difference between Gene remaking a Capcom game and the King remaking a WMS game?*******************************The moment of truth is hereBig Bang Bar being offered on Ebay #75We will finally find out what these games are worth in the current marketKeep in mind, that until it hits reserve, it could all just be shill bidding (remember what happened with the General Lee car on Ebay from Dukes of Hazzard)with the new ebay system, you don't even know who is placing the bidsMy theory is that it is kind of low class to profit so quickly off a game that Gene lost money on, but with pricing having fallen so much in the hobby, maybe it is good that someone can still make a profit on anythingI predict the game goes for $14,000 plusalso up on Ebay is a NIB Addams Gold and a NIB Cactusthe dumping continues ...We will report on the resultsstill working on the web technologygary/arizonaUpdate: The game is now over $9000 in bidding and still hasn't hit reserve (keep in mind, I don't trust the new ebay bidding system, but beyond that), don't you think it is a bit tacky that the game owners jack the reserve up so high while Gene lost the money on each game ? If Gene thinks he is going to go down as some kind of "hero" in the hobby for doing this and losing money on each game, he's finally lost it. I understand the mentality of these people and if the games do end up being worth big bucks, they will probably be ed off with Gene that he didn't let them buy two or three. Kind of like stock options. Doing favors in the this hobby can end up doing you more harm than good. Yes, Gene will be remembered in this hobby, as the old rich guy who had more money than the Good Lord. Any and all of the favors he did are already on their way to being quickly forgotten. such is life ...Why do I care? ... I don't really care ... it's more an issue of the hypocrisy, where so many of the freaks used to slam the CH crowd for having high end machines that were worth more money than the original type games. I've known enough of the people in the hobby to understand they are just jealous of CH and that they would stab you in the back in a NY second if they thought they could get a free left over plastic for one of their games.but your opinion may vary ...
